February 10, 2008 :: Where's Larry?
Has it REALLY been that long? Almost 2 months since my last post? Wow. Well, there hasn't been a lot going on in Larry-Land during the winter. Well, maybe a couple things of interest...
Firstly, I wanted to note that I am writing this on my "spare" computer which is in my office upstairs. I barely have anything installed on it. As such, I am writing this page in Notepad, which I hate doing. Macromedia's "HomeSite" is my preferred HTML editor. No whizzy-wigs, no click-and-drop stuff (which I detest), but it lets me use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + B for bold, Ctrl + Shift + B for line break, etc. I miss it now that I don't have it. I'll have to fix that in the morning...
Let's see.... We had some massive storms recently. One a week ago, and one this past Tuesday. The one a week ago nailed us. Greencastle had the highest reported wind speed (without actually having a tornado) - 81mph. Our roof didn't survive. Luckily, it was only a square or two of shingles that went off to live lives of their own, so "Dude" repaired it for $400 total. "Dude" being Tim Browning who painted our house last fall.
Otherwise, I haven't been doing much aside from whining about the cold and wishing I could ride my bike. I have finally managed to get some work done in my office. I'll include pictures of that and then load this on the server, cuz typing HTML in Notepad is doing my head in.
