Dude was here yesterday and has most of the siding ripped off. We've discovered more things about the house now that we didn't know before. It's storming today, so I don't count on him showing up. He's eager to get this finished up so he can start on a couple of other jobs though, so he might drop by to finish the siding removal. Painting should commence and finish this weekend. He's using a sprayer for the grey and then painting the trim by hand.
Our quote so far?
Remove siding, scrape siding, soffit and other trim, paint entire second story and 2 walls of first story and all trim: $1150.00 (we supply paint)
Build porch/deck thing for side door: $150.00 (we supply materials)
I'm pretty happy with those quotes. We'll see how his work is in a few days, and I'll post a report of course.
