June 26, 2007 :: Yet Another Project
In case you're wondering, there has been nothing-nada-zilch done to the house since Dad-In-Law arrived. I have, however, started a new web site that will take more of my time for a long, long time to come. lol
Someone was looking for information on tools on the Houseblogs.Net forum. Not really prices and such, but real-world applications of those tools. I thought that sounded like a good idea, so I bought a couple of domains: www.thetoolreview.info and www.besthousetools.info.
The site (besthousetools.info just forwards to thetoolreview.info) is slowly coming along. I have the basic structure in place, the list of tools for the "information" section, and a couple of entries there; hammers and screwdrivers. It doesn't seem like there could be much to write about either, but once you start thinking about it, there are lots of different kinds of each and different things that can done with them.
Since I don't claim to be an expert on any of it, I have comment boxes at the end of each page. Not just the entry pages, but the section pages as well - that way if I've missed a tool or group, someone can mention that in a comment.
So, if you have time, go check out
TheToolReview.info and leave me any comments you want. If you feel strongly about a certain tool and would like to write the entry about it, let me know. Also, I would much appreciate it if my fellow housebloggers could write short reviews of tools they've bought. Since I'm reviewing tools that I have purchased myself, I'm unlikely to have more than one to review. Of course, I AM a tool whore, so that isn't always going to be true. lol
