November 24, 2006 :: Hello? Is This On? *Tap Tap Tap*
It has been a while, hasn't it?
As you can imagine, I've been going crazy here trying to get everything ready for the arrival of Sian and Jordan. Most of my energy has been directed toward removing the collected debris of 38 years of bachelorhood. There HAS been a little bit of work on the house, but nothing major, I'm afraid.
So, last time I managed to post something I had finished up the wall in the bedroom, but there weren't any lights or switches yet. There are indeed lights and switches now. I had also finished up the wall that would be the back of the closets. There is one closet now, kinda. It's framed out, at least. lol All I can say is that the closets are going to be very, very small. Good reason to thin out my wardrobe a bit, says I. Aye...I'm a clothes whore. Or rather, I'm a bachelor. It's easier sometimes to buy new clothes than wash the old ones. lol Plus there was all of the traveling that I was doing a couple of years ago, so let's just say that my collection of shirts and jeans is "extensive", ok? Shoes? *blushes* 14 pairs? I know, I know.... Yes, I AM sure that I'm male. There are bicycling shoes (special shoes for "clipless" pedals), work shoes, winter boots, sandals, mocs for the house, casual shoes, semi-casual shoes.... you get the idea. Small closet = less crap = Happy Sian = Good.
Speaking of Sian and Jordan...
We have a definite arrival date now. They will be arriving in Cincinnati on December 8th. Yes... 2 weeks from today. No, the house isn't even close to being ready. Yes, it still bothers me. No, it doesn't bother Sian. I know... I worry too much. :p

Some of you might know that
Houseblogs.net advertized a contest held by
Lincoln Sign Company. The prize was a custom wood house sign. I was one of the
winners. Since we still are not sure what year my house was built or by whom, we're going with a simple address sign for now. Eventually, when the year and builder/owner are known, I'd like to get a sign with that information also.
